Coffee With cops and cars Kick off summer events in Trenton

Trenton, NJ (Mercer) The Trenton Starbucks community kicked off the summertime events in Trenton with the monthly Coffee with Cops and Cars fair outside the Trenton police headquarters. The monthly event started in the fall of 2019 and took a break as COVID-19 hit the nation and shut down New Jersey.

The event showcased over a dozen different cars ranging from a Rolls Royce to a Honda Sedan, brought by a Mercer County resident. They even showed off the Police Mobile headquarters, allowing residents of Trenton to walk through and explore the bus.

The event went off without a hitch and the plans are for it to continue through the rest of the year every 3 Wednesday of the month. Community members are invited to bring their antiques, sport, or luxury car to the next show and participate in the fun!


Trenton, NJ (Mercer) Trenton Police and the Mercer County Homicide Task force are investigating a homicide after a man was shot multiple times and killed in an alley on Cunningham Alley and Penfield Alley in East Trenton. Trenton Emergency Medical Services and Capital Health paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased on scene. Police have not made any arrest in the shooting, one person was transported to Police headquarters for questioning.

Man crashes car after being shot multiple times Tuesday morning

Trenton, Nj (Mercer) On Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 7:54 am, Trenton Police officers responded to the area of Eisenhower Avenue and Coolidge Avenue after receiving reports of shots fired. On scene, Police officers found a victim of the shooting inside of a crashed car. The victim, an adult male, was struck by several bullets while he was driving. The male then crashed the car and was found by Police officers. The male was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in critical condition, but he is expected to survive according to Trenton Police.

HAMILTON, NJ (Mercer) Hamilton Township Police are investigating a shooting in the area of Greenwood Ave and Massachusetts Ave Monday night in the parking lot of Krauszer’s Food Store, resident’s reported a shootout in the parking lot, with multiple shots being fired. The area around the store have been closed off to the public, it is unknown if anyone was struck by gunfire. Hamilton Township Police are investigating the shooting and did not have any information available as of 10:20 Pm.

UPDATE: 1 Male was shot, transported to Capital Health trauma center his condition is unknown. ATF,FBI investigating the shooting. Story continues to develop at this time.

Police searching for missing Ewing Woman

Ewing, NJ ( Mercer) On Saturday, March 20, 2021 at approximately 8:00 pm, the pictured female, Janice White, went missing from the area of Theresa Street in Ewing Township. White left her residence on foot and she is described as a 75-year-old black female approximately 5’4″ in height, slim build, with gray hair. White is believed to be wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black sneakers. White may be wearing eyeglasses. White is believed to not be wearing jewelry nor have identification on her. White frequents the area of Somerset Street and Pennington Road in Ewing. Anyone with information pertaining to Janice White or who may have seen her, please contact the Ewing Township Police Department at (609) 882-1313 ext.7000.

Two arrested for Robbery in Trenton

Trenton, NJ (MERCER) On Friday, March 12, 2021 at 4:20 pm, Trenton Police Officers Pedro Perez and Albert DiNatale III were on patrol in the area of New York Avenue and North Olden Avenue. Officers observed two men assaulting a third man. Once the officers intervened, they learned that the man being assaulted was robbed by the other two. Said Captain Peter Weremijenko.

The officers arrested Malik Bond, a 24-year-old resident of Laurel Place in Trenton and Semaj Logan, a 23-year-old resident of Frazier Street in Trenton. Both were charged with robbery and simple assault. The victim’s cell phone was recovered during the arrest.

Two Injured in Shooting on Carrol Street

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER) Trenton Police responded to a shooting at 26 Carrol Street where two men were shot Saturday night. One was shot in the arm and one in the stomach.

They were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The press release issue by Trenton PD explains that the “Preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting occurred in a residence on Carroll Street. The assault is being investigated by our Shooting Response Team, under the direction of Detective Sergeant Cynthia Hargis. Ewing’s first black firefighter promoted to Captain

EWING, NJ (MERCER) Ewing Township swore in Kevin Wemple to Fire Captain. Wemple is the 1st Black Firefighter for Ewing Township and the 1st Black Fire Officer of the Department. Wemple was a volunteer firefighter with Pennington road Fire company before working for Ewing Fire department for a number of years. Pictured with Wemple is Director Grady Griffin on the left who also is the 1st Black Director of Trenton Emergency Medical Service and DeLorfette Clarke on the right First Black Captain and Chief of Trenton Emergency Medical Service and the 1st Black EMT, Chief, and Director of Ewing Township Emergency Medical Services.
