23- year old Trenton Woman killed early Friday morning

Trenton, NJ ( Mercer) The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating a shooting homicide that occurred Friday morning in Trenton. Police responded to a residence in the first block of Kelsey Avenue around4:30 a.m. A female was located shot and unresponsive behind the front door. The victim has been identified as Shaquil Loftin, 23, of Trenton. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Two shot one dead in Stuyvesant ave shooting one suspect in custody

Trenton , NJ ( Mercer) Trenton Police and ems responded to the 1400 block of Stuyvesant Ave after they received initial reports of a stabbing and then confirmed that two people had been shot at the location in front of a home between Cadwaladr Drive and Stuyvesant Ave. Trenton ems Could be seen doing CPR on one of the males, both males were transported to Capital Heath trauma center. The male died a short time later after arriving at Capital Health trauma center.

The Mercer County prosecutor’s office announced MCHTF is at the scene of a fatal shooting in the 1400 block of Stuyvesant Avenue. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:15 pm and discovered an adult male shot. He was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Police have a suspect in custody and preliminary investigation suggests the homicide is the result of a domestic dispute.

The victim in yesterday’s fatal shooting on Stuyvesant Avenue has been identified as Leonard Pettigrew, 58. He was discovered shot in the chest when police responded to a 911 call. A family member, Emmanuel Shabazz-Gerald, 26, of Ewing, was taken into custody at the scene. He is charged with murder and weapons offenses.

Trenton man arrested for North Stockton St homicide

Trenton, NJ ( Mercer) Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced today that an investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force has led to the arrest of a Trenton man for the recent shooting death of 53-year-old Pablo Herrera Chun.
Blake Pittman, 29, was arrested without incident Wednesday morning in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, by members of the MCHTF, the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Bensalem Police Department. He is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of second-degree certain persons not to possess a weapon. Pittman is being held in Bucks County pending an extradition hearing.
On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Trenton police received a Shot Spotter activation in the area of 43 N. Stockton Street. Responding officers located the victim, later identified as Chun, suffering from two gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Trenton Police Pursues and arrest Two Suspects Involved in Weekend Shooting

Trenton, N.J. – Interim Police Director Steve E. Wilson announced Wednesday that two Trenton men have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and numerous weapons charges following a shooting and ensuing car chase that took place early Sunday morning.

Hassan Wheeler, 28, and Jarron R. Colvin, 27, both of Trenton, were arrested on July 18, 2021.

Wheeler was charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault shooting, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a handgun for unlawful purpose, possession of prohibited weapons and devices, and being a person prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Colvin was charged with complicity to criminal attempt homicide, complicity to aggravated assault, complicity to aggravated assault, complicity to unlawful possession of a handgun, complicity to possession of weapon for unlawful purpose, and complicity to possession of weapons and devices.

On Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 2:00 a.m., patrol officers and detectives from the Street Crimes Unit heard several gunshots in the area of Locust Street and Chambers Street. Officer Nelson Nieves and Rudy Lopez observed a male victim collapse on Chambers Street near Locust Street.

Officers also observed a vehicle fleeing from the area on Chambers Street and notified other units. Street Crimes Unit Detectives Michael Gettler and Gregory Woods – already in the area on an unrelated gun arrest – located the suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop. A motor vehicle pursuit ensued throughout the City of Trenton and came to an end in Hamilton Township after the suspect vehicle struck a parked car.

Two suspects exited the vehicle. Wheeler was immediately taken into custody by Detective Cornell Huff. Colvin fled on foot and was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit and found hiding under a pick-up truck.

Meanwhile, Officer Nieves and Rudy Lopez transported the victim to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center. The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was listed in critical but stable condition.

“On behalf of the Trenton Police department and the city of Trenton, I commend the officers and detectives for their outstanding work in this case,” said Director Wilson. “Not only did they quickly pursue and apprehend two dangerous suspects who were involved in a brazen late-night shooting, they also ensured that the victim got the medical attention he desperately needed.”

These charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. This is an ongoing investigation.

UPDATE: Trenton Shooting victims identified

Trenton, NI (Mercer) The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating two separate shooting homicides that occurred in Trenton on Monday, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

Trenton police responded to the area of 14 Breunig Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. on July 19, 2021. Officers located William Mitchell, 33, of Trenton, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the Breunig Avenue Park. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later.

A few hours later, just after 8 p.m., Trenton police were called out to a Shot Spotter activation on Ellsworth Avenue. Jermel Carter, 38, of Trenton, was found on the side of 57 Ellsworth Avenue unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
